Affiliate disclosure

Level Up Fiction is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. I am also an Amazon Associate in Australia through Amazon.com.au.

In plain English: if you click a link on this site to Amazon or Audible and then sign up for a trial, take out a subscription or buy something, I earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you went to Amazon directly.

What that does and does not change

It does not change what I recommend. Most of what I write about is whether a subscription is worth paying for, and quite often the honest answer is no, or not for you. If I thought a service was a waste of money I would say so, and I have no interest in running a site that tells people to subscribe to everything.

It does mean I earn more when someone starts an Audible or Kindle Unlimited subscription than when they buy a single book. You should know that, because it is the sort of thing that quietly bends other sites’ advice. My way of dealing with it is to be specific about who each service suits and who it does not, and to say when the free option is the better one.

Book facts and prices

Availability on Kindle Unlimited and Audible changes constantly, and it differs between countries. I check what I can against the retailer’s own page at the time of writing and say which source I used, but by the time you read an article a title may have moved. Prices are not listed on this site, because they go out of date and Amazon requires them to be current.
